Bahrain – Bahraini dinar

The Bahraini dinar is subdivided into 1000 fils.

Banknotes in circulation have nominal values of 0.5, 1, 5, 10 and 20 dinars.

Minted coins are in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 fils.

Since 1959 in the country has been used the Indian rupee, replaced by the Gulf rupee. After denomination of the second rupee in 1965, Bahraini dinar was introduced in the initial course of 10 rupee for one dinar.
